This role is positioned at the intersection of our Sales and Editorial teams, reporting to the Director of Development and Strategy of DOC SERVICES and working closely to our Sales and Development managers in terms of accounts handling and sales targets.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead the international development and talent acquisition strategies of Doc Services;
  • Ensure the quality and develop a network of international decision makers (buyers, commissioning editors, funders, festivals, foundations) and industry leaders involved in our marketplace and year-round activities by fostering privileged relationships ;
  • Participate in active prospecting and sales activities to bring new international voices and players into the marketplace (producers, distributors, foreign delegations) in order to renew our audience and increase the company’s turnover ;
  • Oversee the submission, reviewing and project selection processes for all our non-fiction pitching actitivies, calls for projects and grant programs ;
  • Design and monitor Sunny Side’s talent labs programs to stimulate, attract and develop storytelling talent and foster a culture of inclusive, connected, and innovative documentary marketplace;
  • Contribute, in close collaboration with the Editorial team, to the building of the editorial strategies, events programming and sessions production in line with the position’s responsibilities ;
  • Identify and build win-win collaboration deals with international industry partners, experts and mentors to co-finance and/or support year-round activities, panels or workshops, pitching prizes ;
  • Liaise with the Communication/Sales team to help implement targeted promotion strategies and effective e-marketing campaigns ;
  • Provide insights and carry out sectoral and competition monitoring;
  • Represent Sunny Side of the Doc as a brand ambassador, marketplace expert and talent/projects scout at key external events or training programs.
  • Ensure consolidated reporting on the progress and results assessment of all projects managed.

Profile and skills:

  • Versatile, autonomous, creative and able to make proposals, capable of completing projects;
  • Spoken and written fluency in English and in French – Any knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
  • Independent judgment and ability to multitask is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.
  • Job involves a high amount of travel. Willingness to work from the road is essential.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with wide range of departments, seniority levels and personalities.
  • Interested and involved in the world of audiovisual, digital and documentary creation in particular and able to grasp technical subjects;
  • Curious about the latest trends in our sector and in social selling, content and inbound marketing;
  • Mastery of the Pack Office; knowledge of e-CRM and database management is a real plus.

Location: Paris / Europe, open to teleworking

Travel: Ability to travel internationally to attend key industry events and visit our team based in La Rochelle
